The Jura Wine Route
The Jura wine route is more than just a route, it is a whole network. It does not run straight, but winds through the vineyards. The Jura wine region strengthens the bond between its 6 appellations, picturesque villages and winegrowers.
This wine route runs over 80 km of vineyards. You will not only find exceptional wines, but also a rich and diverse heritage.
The Revermont of the Jura offers a landscape of hills, vineyards, reculées, caves and waterfalls. There is also a lot of cultural heritage to be found: historic towns “with character” (Arbois, Poligny), typical villages (Château-Chalon) and exceptional monuments (the saltworks of Salins-les-Bains, the abbey of Baume-les-Messieurs…).
Along the way, you will also pass the beautiful town of Arbois with the house of Louis Pasteur where the famous scientist worked on the fermentation of alcohol and laid the foundations for modern oenology.
