Fondremand is a town in Haute-Saône, in Burgundy, Franche-Comté, located 25 km south of Vesoul 30 km north of Besancon.

But it is in the Middle Ages that Fondremand becomes a reputed stronghold, first dependent Burgundy county then under the lords of Neuchatel.

located on the edge of a plateau, then Fondremand has a castle and ramparts whose foundations date from the eleventh century. Although redesigned, this castle remains today the nerve heart of the village, which has only about 200 inhabitants, but its former habitat has been preserved.
